OwlBabies Silent Chorus

Here is a hot day in early afternoon, the OwlBabies are panting to keep cool as they do not have sweat glands like we do. The thought of this video set to music does come to mind more than once. They are still stairstepped in growth largely due to their hatching order and aggressiveness in feeding. They are approaching a size to where they can swallow a mouse whole and a rat in just a couple bites. One thing this clip does point out is just how large their beaks really are, usually all but the ends of their jaws are hidden by feathers. Their "weapons of mass consumption" are formidable...
