With 2012 NFL Playoffs Underway, A Closer Look at Luck, RG3 or Russell Wilson for Rookie of the Year

It's been quite the year for rookies throughout the 2012 NFL season. The No. 1 and No. 2 picks in the 2012 NFL Draft have more than lived up their billing. Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III have turned the Colts and Redskins respectively from pretenders to contenders. Then, of course, there's third round pick, Russell Wilson, who's proved to be the perfect field general and playmaker for a Seahawks team that is in great shape defensively and on special teams.

So, who's most deserving of the 2012 NFL Rookie of the Year Award? Brad Wells of SB Nation and Stampede Blue looks at the pros and cons in favor of each candidate.

thank u i like all 3 but wilson had the #1 scoring defense while RG3 had the 30th rank Defense and Luck had to have comeback wins against scrub teams and got his ass kicked by real teams plus colts & hawks recivieving core was beyond the skins. and everybody keep saying he wont last long but he's not vick, vick was a athlete playing QB RG3 is a QB with athlete speed big difference but i can't wait when his defensive and offensive starters are back so people know he's possibly the best Qb in nfl

Griffin raised the skins. Volts were just in the superbowl a few years ago. Lynch is way better then morris. Rg won, 29 out of 50 votes. Easy schedule for luck, Wilson had a great defense setting up good field position. Rg had the best yards per attempt. Luck and Wilson are really good. But I'm not even a skins fan, but because of Rg I didn't miss one of their games. He was probably also the most watched nfl player, making him most valued player to the nfl. Call Rg the Jordan of the nfl.
