This is raw video of the flooding along the Skunk River between Ames and Des Moines, near Cambridge.




I had the videographer in the pilots seat, I flew from the right. I unlatched the pilots window so that when we opened it the airflow would hold it open up against the bottom of the wing. This allowed him to shoot the video without going through the glass which makes for a better picture.

I flew at 110mph to help minimize the force of wind against the camera since the nose of the camera was in the slipstream. He did comment that after an hour and a half of flying his arm was getting tired.
