@astrofiasco OK. So I saw both. I preffere London. Leanne Jones is amazingly talented, she's gifted and suits the part perfectly. The sets are more simplistic so they add more magic to the singing and acting (it's not one of those shows like Mary Poppins that you come out of it and only remember the sets)... the WIGS are just sooo researched and real, so big, so flouncy and bouncy like the sixties. The orchestra is amazing too. The audiences in themselves give much more than US audiences.

She sings much better sure but she isn't funny. She has no personality like the original is! The original, She's funny, she makes hilarious faces, and her character was made to be funny and make funny sounds!!! Great personality!!! This girl is boring....she's fake.

So the LONDON production of Hairspray was better than the US version? Looking at this clips.. brings a tear ..not sure why...
