u should really what u typed...i know what u said....and anyway i understand that they dont play each other now in general....but...if they did....i think its the biggest and best rivarlry in baseball.....yankees and red sox is not as big as people think....the media makes it bigger...and it has a east coast biast in the media sometimes.....

@DjBobbyLosAngeles i didnt say they never played eachtother,, i said they never play eachother,, like a year back when they had that game,, it was like the first time they played eachother in like 15 years or some shit,, they went like 15 years without playing eachother,, the only way they could really play eachother is in a world serries, other then that, they gotta wait years for a cross mingle game like the one that took 15 yrs for,, the Yankees rivalry is Boston redsox

@DjBobbyLosAngeles their is no rivaly between the yankees and dodgers,, cuz they never play eachother from being in differ leages and dodgers never making it that far to play them,,, the only rivaly dodgers has,, is probly against the Angels,,, who they play every year, and who alot of dodger fans hate

The Giants were OK with playing a couple of seasons in Seals, because they would be getting a brand new ballpark, paid for by the city, in 1960. However Walter O'Malley was NOT OK with playing in LA's Wrigley Field (even though he owned it). Like Seals, it only held around 20,000 fans, but O'Malley was paying for his new stadium himself, while the City of San Francisco was paying for Candlestick Park. So O'Malley needed to generate as much money as he could.

Whether they play in New York or California the Giants-Dodgers rivalry is one of the best rivalry's in MLB if not Pro Sports
