http://go.petsecure.com/pets This year, Petsecure launched a new operating system called PAWS which helps us administer your policies and process your claims more efficiently. Because of this system, we have made some changes to your invoicing and your premium payment schedule. Don't worry; you're premium amounts do not change because of this process. Only the way in which your payments are distributed throughout your policy year will change.

You will receive a letter approximately one month before your anniversary date. In this letter we explain the invoice changes, how they are calculated in relation to your anniversary date, and how the premiums are distributed throughout the year.

To help you better understand these new invoice changes, let's review the following three points:

- How the invoice change is calculated.
- How the premium on your anniversary month is calculated.
- How your premium is being distributed throughout your policy year.

One of the ways the new system differs from the old system is how we calculate your invoice date. In the old system, you were billed from the first of the month until the end of the month, regardless of when you joined. In the new system, the billing period starts on the day in which your pet was enrolled. For example, if you signed up your pet on June 15, this means your billing period starts on that day and ends one month later on July 14. Therefore, you will be paying one month of insurance for that billing period. This is how the monthly billing is calculated. It's based on the date in which you enrolled your pet.

Aligning your old payment schedule to our new system requires a one0time adjustment to pay for the beginning of your anniversary month, i which you had insurance coverage, though you haven't paid for it yet. Let's say that your anniversary date is May 15. With our new system, on May 1 you'll pay your regular monthly premium that covers from May 15 to June 14. However the insurance coverage for May 1 to May 14 hasn't been paid for yet. Therefore, the payment on May 1 will also cover the period of May 1 to May 14 and May 15 to June 14 for a total of six weeks. This is a one-time adjustment only. It allows us to align your pet's premium to the new invoicing cycle.

In our new system, you're able to choose the date in which your monthly payments are withdrawn. On your chosen day, premiums will pay for your next period of insurance. For example, let's say you enrolled your pet on June 15 but chose the first of each month as your withdrawal date. That means your July 1st premium payment will pay for your insurance coverage from July 15 to August 14. Your August 1st payment will pay for the insurance coverage from August 15 go September 14 and so on.
