Michele Tomo at Pizza Town in Elmwood Park says the family pizzeria was the first to offer slices in New Jersey, back in the 50s. She says it's true, so it must be! (Video by Pete Genovese).

Tried it for the first time a few weeks ago after listening to all the raves for years. Sorry, but (much to my surprise) I wasn't very impressed compared to MANY pies I've had in Bergen County. Not that it was "bad", but maybe it's just a matter of how many other pizza places you've tried to compare PT to.
(Oh - and this interviewer is really irritating .)

That place is great and also awesome zeppolis. Anyone ever been to Brunos Pizza Rt 46 going west in Clifton? Also great stuff.
