Another epic battle is at hand as Sarah and Kent go to hand to hand battle over the best Chick Flick Movie of all time. What is your favorite chick flick?

Dirty Dancing Plot:
It is the summer of 1963 and Baby and her family are to attend the holiday resort in America's beautiful Catskill Mountains. But when they arrive Baby is almost immediately swept off her feet by the sexy and talented Johnny Castle. When her father forbids her to have anything to do with the hunky resort dance instructor and his pals, she finds herself falling madly in love with him and learning how to dance the passionate Latin dances that Johnny loves. Like the beginning of the 60's signaled the ending of an area of innocence for U.S.A., it also signals the ending of Baby's innocence and the awakening of her feelings as a young woman.

The Holiday Plot:
Two beautiful women, Amanda Woods (Cameron Diaz) and Iris Simpkins (Kate Winslet) both find themselves at the end of failed relationships just before Christmas. Amanda decides to take a two week vacation and surfs the internet. She meets Iris online, and they agree to swap their homes for the holidays. Amanda lives in Los Angles and Iris lives in the countryside of Surrey, England. Even though they now have a change of scenery and want no contact with men, they are both still depressed and lonely. But things are about to change when Iris' brother Graham (Jude Law) drops by Iris' house and meets Amanda. On the other side of the world, Iris meets Miles (Jack Black) a film composer. Oh dear. The Holiday is an okay film (as romantic comedy goes), but will never reach the heights of cult status in the way that Dirty Dancing endures. It's folly to suggestthat they can even be compared on that basis. Show me women who can recall The Holiday in any great detail, and I will show you fifty women who can almost recite scenes from Dirty Dancing - verbatim. :)

fuk the holiday..... dirty dancing was and still is one of the greates chick movie ..have you heard the songs in that movie i have the sound track and they all beautiful it actually makes u wanna fall in love even if u single ..lol but ppl are to busy listening to rihanna "rude boy" smh disgusting.. the story is beautiful too.. =)

I really don't see why Dirty Dancing wins. I'm sorry but i find the Holiday So much better.

She finds Dirty Dancing realistic, well i dont. I find the odds bigger to find a nice cute guy on a Holiday especially when he is a friend of the one you switch houses with, wich is what my family has done once to btw ( just not with people we didn't know) then a popular guy who chooses a girl who lives pretty much in the background. So from MY opinion i declare the Holiday the winner!

lol@Elf...Dirty Dancing, although very much of a "chick flick" is still & always will be corny. The Holiday is a much better story, but I still love Dirty Dancing. It's just not as a good movie as The Holiday.
