Cleaner Sweeps Rubbish Under Bins/Into Holes: Sun 01.06.2008

A street cleaner swept rubbish under recycle Blue Bins and into a Thames Water works hole in the street at 8:17 am on Sunday, 01.06.2008.

This street cleaner was cutting corners and doing a useless job that created more work for others while perpetuating safety and health problems all at the taxpayers' expense.

First, he moved a fly tipped black rubbish bag from the kerb to between the recycle Blue Bins. This had the effect of shifting responsibility for removing this fly tipped rubbish from the Council to the Estate.

Second he picked up a pan looking object from the area where he got the black rubbish bag and put in onto the top of a recycle Blue Bin.

He then went toward his wheely bin retrieving his broom and returned opening and shutting the top to the end recycle bin. It looked like he put something inside it.




Third he swept the rubbish from the kerb and gutter along a vehicle and was out of sight for a wee bit until he swept this rubbish to the area in front of the vehicle.

Fourth he then started sweeping the debris from the ground in front of the recycle Blue Bins, gave up and swept it under the recycle Blue Bins.

Fifth he returned to his previous accumulated rubbish in the gutter in front of the vehicle and niftily swept it under the wire protection around a hole dug into the street by Thames Water to replace water pipes.

He made certain this last effort has the rubbish clearly swept under this cage and into the hole in the street with a few deft strokes.

After all this excellent display of street cleaning, he wheels off with his wheely bin disappearing around the far corner of the street having not used his shovel to pick up the debris he collected but had cleverly swept under the recycle Blue Bin and into a large hole dug in the street.

I wonder how much else he's done like this?
