@brutaka359 which version of ubuntu was it? i think you should reinstall your ubuntu because i doubt ubuntu has a system restore capability

HELP! I installed Ubuntu on my other computer and then it starts up some kind of "bug reporter" window pops up 2-3 times and then everything is fine but Applications, Places and System are not loaded! They are not there! How can I get them back!? :(

@nextstep333 yeah bro,,,, i am with you on this.... the older version were more.... but not a lot has changed.... only thing is that the Ubuntu these days are cleaner, nicer more user friendly and you can do more from it..

ubuntu 7.10 was fun to use, I sometime think it is even better than the current version!

try to install ubuntu 9.04 on a brand new pc with no operating system. then buy a mac format the hd then reinstall mac os x and see which runs faster. my ubuntu boots in 19 seconds.
