Carl/Ellie - Goodbye to You

At the heart of the story of Up is the tragic, yet beautiful love relationship between Carl and Ellie, so I thought it fitting to have my first video with the actual movie be a tribute to them. I felt this song embodied the feeling of Carl's loss, yet also his desire to move on with life. I've had this song for a while, so it's nice to finally find a use for it!

Gosh I'm exhausted...I started this at, like, 5 in the morning and finished it at almost 7. Time for sleeping...

Their love is anything but tragic - just beautiful, the sort of romance many people often dream of having. It's sad when Ellie dies, but no tragedy - just life, and that's why it's sad. The fact that they couldn't have kids makes it worse as poor Carl is left a lonely old man :'(

Btw, this song doesn't "embody the feeling of Carl's loss", it just makes it needlessly corny and seem superficial.

@wimilicous101 I'm always VERY happy to see people so passionate about this movie that they call me on my song choice, saying the film is better and deserves more. Because that shows me this film really touched them, like it did me. And I admit, the song choice wasn't the best. At the time it was a song I loved, and I found connections to the movie in it's lyrics. And I agree, the movie is very much about life. Both the good and bad.

The DVD footage looks Russian, but what Ellie writes at the end was; 'Thank you for the adventure, now have a new adventure of your own'

All the years as a child I was dragged to Disney Movies in a half-nelson, I hated every f*cking minute of it. Now as a 37 year old man, they produce an animation that blows me away. Fantastic Movie- Carl is my hero!!!
