My own conscience won't allow me to turn my back upon the victims of my government's illegal wars, whether it's countless children killed and maimed in Iraq, Afg, Pak, etc or the men, women, and children who have been tortured in secret prisons without trial (many of whom happen to be 100% innocent), for example.

I can only hope that every "patriot" feels similarly.
