I've heard plenty of people from Large cities(new york , La) talk up the places they are from. the neighborhoods , the food, the streets , The Music . I've heard them talk it down too. Reality is perception . Its sad that you don't have a place that your proud to be from.

I went to highschool in Blythe; it was actually pretty cool. I miss swimmin in the rivers and cannals, smoking weed with my homies cruising around doin our thing. I appreciate the Opposites showin me my hometown and spreading a positive message. I live in Diego on beachfront, and I still miss blythe. We could argue all day about blythe, but if you've lived there you'd understand there is just something special about the place. Fuck a cookie.....BITCH

People from Blythe seem not to realize that if you spend an inordinate amount of time defending something, you're probably aware that the thing you're defending doesn't measure up, and it bothers you. Ever notice that you don't hear people from Paris, London, New York, Los Angeles, etc., say, "No, it's really great! You just don't understand! You haven't seen the 'good' parts!" ? The superior thing knows it's superior and has no need to defend. The inferior thing does the exact opposite.
