YUP!!! like they were all over laughlin and mohave valley, you couldnt go anywhere without hearing crunching and like the old mcdonalds off of the 95 had to close their drive thru because the locusts got inside it

i re member that day ,it picked up the rug outside of the lobby where i live and it was blown all the way to the back west exit it looked like the carpet in alladen omg lol funny

looks like the monsoon season. I used to live there from 1983 to 1990 and moved away with my family my going into my sophmore year of high school. I remember the crazy flood of '83 and '90...I've heard it's grown alot since I left and have wanted to go back.

Right! The crunching was key. I happened to go out the night it started and pulled into Circle K on Highway 95/Riverview and heard the crunch before I noticed them. They were attracted to the bright lights. Same thing at the casino entrances. Bizarre.

hey thats over by the fields off of lakeside huh?? i live over off of atla vista, have been for 15 years and i remember that day, and the day with all of those locusts in like 1997

Yes exactly. Was that 1997 when the grasshoppers invaded? Could it be that ago? I think it was the year of El Nino, whenever that was.

Off the top of my head I think it was Julyish. Crazy weather. Mother Nature likes to remind us who is boss every now and then.
