ive been very fotunate to be a friend of les for a very long time he is probably the best guitarist on the planet today ....and he is and remains to this day my biggest influence on the guitar ....i have watched this prodigy since he was 14 ...i have learned a ton from playing in bands with him and just observing how he makes the guitar sing and how he express himself through the instument...do you self a favour go see this guy play ..you be a beter person for it.. maby even a beter musician
I cant believe there is a video of him here on youtube... I got to see him also, I bought Steel Strings Potraits album. Wish I could have buyed all of his albums
It's funny how life seems to have a way of balancing its self out. I had broken up with my girlfriend 2 days prior to visiting Granville Island. I was reeling from the ensuing emotional tumult but was lucky enough to hear Les perform the above song, 'Palo Alto.' That song sounded so good and felt even better. Suddenly the clouds blew away and clear, warm sunny skies broke forth. Yes, I bought his album from him there and then and have continued to enjoy his compositions. Thanks Les. Rock on!
I saw him there at Granville in April 2006. I had actually been on a guitar tour with about 75 other students from my school, and we saw him playing nearby. I bought the 10th anniversary version of Things My Guitar Said.
Beautiful.....

I met Les a few years back and he truly inspired my music greatly. Anyone know if he has a website or anything?
