  • What I don't like is that a lot of the people who gets to see or read this book will not make the trip to China in their lifetime. They will judge China by what they hear or read (someone else's opinion). I have done business in China as well as travel extensively. If you look for a problem, you will find it anywhere in the world. Some of the things mentioned here isn't common practice today. The factories I work with work 5 days a week, 10 hr work-day no different than our office in US.

  • Alexandra, you did not mention that behind these ever low prices that China has offered are Supply and Purchasing directors/ managers from Western multinationals. These people are the slave drivers of the world.

  • Great book. America, we are screwed.

  • history lesson. Japan did this and even the great USA did this during both our industrial revolutions. Quality will get better as business capital expands, it took Japan over 30 years to achieve their quality since we leveled their country in WW2 and the US around the same time as it was a devloping into a republic

  • America - Shut the door on cheap imports

  • Alexandra Harney

    The book is useless!

You are too late to tell.

  • Book sounds like it's worth a look. What's the track?
