These are the fins that paul walker uses in the movie into the blue with the sexy Jessica Alba. They are the cressi Gara 2000HF which is the stiff version

  • good pockets, terrible blades... "best" fins for freediving? you mean the only fins you have tried?

  • @james8660 I have tried omer too and a couple others. These ones are a good stiffness for me. And I am all about comfort when I am diving. If my feet hurt my breath holds are horrible. What don't you like about the blades. I have not had any problem with them

  • there is not best fins for freediving...maybe for you and for your needs those are the best ones but somebody else may need something totally different.it depends on many things....and by the time i used carbon fins i would never ever go back to plastic fins! believe me spending 300€ on some good carbon blades and pockets is totally worth it

  • totally amateur .... best fins ... yeah right ...not carbon fins idiot

  • dude the fins they used in rhe movie "into the blue" its the cressi alright ,,,,but not the 2000 they used the 3000 i should know i got a pair .. if you look closely in the movie the fins have a notch at the end of the blade ....thats the cressi 3000 yours dont have one,,,,,,

  • Anax XXone for fins

  • i have used these, and i don't like them. although if they work for you more power to you. look into upgrading though because over time as your kicks get stronger you will get side wobble with those.

always dive with a buddy :-)

  • I tried Spierre Carbon fins... They will blow you away!

Wayyyy beyond regular long fins, including Cressi Garas....

If I had over $500 for fins, they are worth every penny.

    They are soooo fast. Amazing!!!

  • This dudes a poser, I dont think he could jog for 3 min.....SoCal poser.

  • this is cressi gara 2000. the worse fins I have ever used.they hurt and give no speed. cressi also withdrawn them from the market. omer millenium is much better.

  • @Stratocaster05 I don't understand why they are "crap". I know no one uses them...but no one was using aero bars until LeMond did....it "just wasn't done".

The total surface is NOT the important factor-as any engineer will tell you: it's NOT the vertical force...it is the horizontal vector that is supplying the thrust and forward momentum.

I don't do a lot of free diving. I use Mare Quattros for scuba because they are medium stiff but long enough. But split fins are MORE efficient no doubt.

  • It's a simple case of surface area vs. thrust. The greater the surface area, the more water is displaced by each identical stroke. Split fins with less surface area will travel through the water with greater ease but generate less thrust. There is a reason why competitive freedivers and finswimmers use monofins; they have a surface area far greater than traditional bifins due to the lack of a central gap in the motile mass. Split fins have three gaps in the motile mass.
