Now THIS is the real thing, the gold standard to which all other versions of this variation must be compared.  A soaring jump, brilliant beats, graceful port de bras, and refined épaulement. By the way, Sizova's extension IS high--it just isn't extreme, and she does not distort classical line to raise her leg. I agree with odile77--this is real art.

the man who speaks in the begining says that this variation is from the ballet ''le corsaire'' so obviously they were doing it in corsaire as well
