only you can know and decide what is best for you. just want to reiterate that.
i love sherman alexie. i have all of his novels and poetry. got to see him read poetry when i lived in LA and got a photo with him and met him. it was awesome. he is one of my all time favorites.
if you stop going to NA, you MUST take life one day at a time. and you must find replacement support systems or you will likely go back out. be smart and be safe.

you rock! huge congrats! in AA they say chip + not medallion. and it says to thine own self be true on it. i pretty much stayed in AA for a little over a year and then quit going for a while and have gone randomly ever since. i created my own recovery plan, and AA was only part of it. you do what you need to do to stay clean. hands down nothing else matters. i have 13 years, am certifiably a recovering alcoholic and addict, and was able to do it in an "alternative" way, i.e. not AA all the time.

@Zedie36 I really like that u speak an alternative way. I always get the, "Do it our way or die" thing around here. I am really envious that u got to meet sherman alexie, what was he like? I just love all of his work and its really cool to know of a fellow fan because none of my friends read for fun lol
