Simvastatin side effects 3

I thought this penny was trying to kill me - one of daily psychotic episodes whilst taking the cholesterol drug simvastatin. These lasted for the whole of 2008 and ceased four days after coming off the medication.

Yeah - i spent a whole year believing my doctors when they said it was impossible for this medication to cause such effects. i decided to make myself look an idiot to inform others who may be asking the same questions about their own medication.  i'm glad you watched the video though.....

We humans are test lab rats. Here you have bad reactions to the drug in the office yet the doctor wants to see how long the stupid lab rats will allow this torture all in the name of profits for the drug manufacturer and kick backs to the doctor. He's going through this for profits. It would be one thing if he was profiting from being a lab rat but he is only the victim, it's destroying his life and that of family members.

My own father was prescribed simvastatin in late 2006. He was 73, and had been on 25mg Atenolol for nearly 30 years. Over the course of 10 days, my father thought his head was going to explode. He is now a shell of a man compared to how he used to be, 2 stones lighter, and grey.....can someone please tell me how these effects can be reversed. I'm in the medical profession, and yet I'm wracking my brains for a solution....

I took Simvastatin for 18 months, After 18 months I had an apparent breakdown with severe depression, I lost 20 Kg in weight, had cramp like muscle pain, could not eat or even drink, nausea, my left hand started losing grip on things and I would suddenly drop things, I could not urinate and when I did it was dark orange, total sexual dysfunction and my head felt like I was going insane and was going to explode, I stopped taking it 2 weeks ago and feel a hell of a lot better for it. Doctors ...!?

If your federal government blatantly lies to the American public about something as important as going to WAR because of alleged possession of Weapons of Mass Destruction which resulted in over 1million deaths of innocent civilians, do you REALLY think that they wouldn't lie to you in order to please a filthy rich pharmaceutical company that makes political campaign contributions and bribes for MILLIONS OF DOLLARS !!! THANK YOU!!!! for posting this. I had a psychotic episode, I believe due to adderall. It helps to see this because I know this is how I was and it somehow feels better to know I am not alone. I give SOOOOO much credit to the woman in this video. Unfortunately my family argued with me and stormed off. I could not help myself, as you know. I am better now and I am glad you are too!

I truly believe that statins caused my father to have a stroke. At 75 his doctor said he had some plaque in his arteries (never effected him from what I saw) and prescribed a statin. After that it was all downhill, muscle wasting, weight loss, pain, eventually onto oxygen, amnesia, dementia and eventually a fatal bleeding stroke at 79.

This man and his wife far from looking like idiots are very brave decent folk, who through their brave actions could possibly help thousands. The makers of simvastatin have admitted physcosis & suicide as a direct result of this drug. When U R a sufferer & the doc doesn't believe you this info really helps. try reading the listed adverse effects that the doc should know then decide who is idiot & who is brave.

Congrats & thanks. We were overcome, an exact mirror image of what we have been suffering. We know others effected but not as bad as us yet. They are not yet aware what is happening to them. This poison has reached all areas of the developed world and then we find out that the world health organisation's very own data conclusively shows there is no relationship between high cholestrol & heart disease. How can such a proven mistake be allowed to carry on maiming perhaps millions of us globally.
