http://www.presidentreporter.com Already, hundreds of people massed in front of the Peace Tower of the limousine where the new U.S. president Barack Obama is expected later this morning for a meeting with Stephen Harper. People are obviously in good spirits. They converge to the streets surrounding the hill where the host police smiling and happy to be at this event.

Encountered on site, and Carlo Valencia Cesar Marquez, two Filipinos residing in Ottawa, does not want to miss this appointment.

"The election of Barack Obama is good for the future," said Valencia who arrived in the country 22 years ago.

A little later, Thomas Gagne strolling with three buttons pinned to his coat with a wide brim.

  • True on both counts; it is so nice to hear a President speak who actually has some knowledge and control of the English language

  • Barack America called Ottawa... "Iowa." Way to go, Brain Child! Of course, if this was Bush, then he would be sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo stupid, but Obama simply misspoke.
