POEM:
Why I fast on "Thanksgiving"
asting for thanksgiving
to denounce the lies of such a day
to denounce the glamorization of our genocide
the cover up of white supremacy
the denial of our humanity

as the turkeys are being stuffed
the potatoes are being smashed
my people getting drunk in "grattitude"
no food will enter my body

not today
this i do to remind myself
that i have been given the life of knowledge
that i see with the eyes of truth and the eyes of my heart

protesting with my body
with my heart
and with my mind

may cultures/religions fast as a way to show sacrifice
to remember
to discipline
to show love to the Creator

as a colonized people we are not there yet
we do not have defined ways of resistance
that shared collectively as a people
but we can try

we seek liberation in our daily lives
we speak education in our daily lives
we seek decolonization
and after more than 500 years we still have a long way
but everyday that you live
try to get closer to that reality
with every book that you read
action that you take
decision that you make
may it be in the benefit of our people's future
may it be in the benefit of our liberation

none of us are perfect
being born into this white supremacist matrix
robs us of being disease free
but we can try to cleanse ourselves daily
with living with a refreshed sense of resistance
and discipline
in our education
in our liberation
in how we treat one another
sisters
brothers

it's a beautiful thing to know the truth of who you are
it's even more beautiful to know that our liberated future gets closer the more we reach out to our heritage with the courage of Cuahutemoc and the clarity of Zapata.

may your day be filled with courage
and truth

  • I absolutely hate it when people equate self-pride with racism. Why can't we be proud of being who we are without being called "racist"? Ignorant people are not used to seeing Indigenous people embracing their history and identity. Especially ignorant white people.

  • Dear Ms. Anahuac, I live in Washington State, though I am originally from Yagna (Los Angeles). How often does the MM have meetings? I have plans to visit relatives down in Yagna and I wonder what's required of me to attend. Also, can I donate?

  • @JGmartinezJr

  • The occupation of our people is skin deep, mind deep, death deep, even in our graves our souls they keep. the occupation of our people is knee-deep, sinking our humanity into the pits of ignorance. Reach out and climb out! Its beautiful to fight this shit that rips away our souls and pretends to care for our well-being! Stay strong! alive! and above the quick-sand of the colonial ground.

  • Damn! I wish more black women thought like this.

SMH we were sold and MK Ultra Mindcontrolled.Never see us as your enemies.

  • LOVE MI RAZA INDIGENA ALWAYS, THUMBS UP TRUTH VIDEO.

  • Also, printing out Colonization and Decolonization by warrior publications, a Canadian indigenous organization, we'll be distributing them in the northern occupied states of Amerikkka

  • Viva! Death to colonialism, my people were first dragged as slaves to the Caribbean and then driven from their homeland by colonizers to be wage slaves and live in the slums of America. Keep up the movement, liberation is at hand.

  • Very instersting video. I would like to see or rather hear the Aztec language being revived. What pisses me off is that some white Americans are racist towards people of Mexican descent yet they are not indigenous but are offsprings of immigrants from Europe. The truth is that Mexicans/Aztecs in some parts of the US are actually more native than white folks yet they sometimes seem to fall victims of xenophobia. How ironic.

  • (cont)I know you all have your problems over there, but tenemos algo que no todos las razas tienen, y es nuestro otro pais a lado,y aunque los mexas de aqui en mexico deberian ser los que cambian su pais, lo dudo que lo hagan porque no los veo moverse para nada.Puras marchas de camisa blanca no va cambiar nada.Anyways, keep up the fight and peace to all!

  • i have a question here that may not be very popular, but me being a chicano living in mexico i've seen that this country is very rich in culture, resources, minerals, etc. but many mexcians in U.S. feel like they dont belong or are not wanted over there.Yet many leave here to go over there, not cuz they love U.S. so much but because they cant make a living back home. Why havent we as a ppl try to take this country back from the corruption that holds it.Many speak great things of mexico but never....

  • viva mexico viva america latina viva nuestra cultura y nuestros ancestros
