@robelinda2 You are a legend.
-
Well he was on 177* and your criticising him
-
@robelinda2 I was always a fan of Blewett's pull shots too. I recall him being one of the first Aussie batsmen to stop showing fear of the Windies quicks and start actually attacking their short bowling. It was just a short arm jab and taking it off his raised front knee - but how he ever did that against Ambrose - I will never know!
-
Not hard to believe Boycott beats his wife when you listen to how testy he is
-
"Dozy twit". LMFAO
-
You have to admire the Yorkshireman , they don't call a spade a spade , they call it bloody shovel . you dozy twit .
-
They don't suffer fools lightly, these Yorkshiremen.

You can say what you like about Taylor's off drive, but that graphic shows his best shot is clearly the edge through slips.

@B1985A That was Basil d'Oliveira and Johnny Gleeson, iirc. Maybe the 70/71 Ashes? Brearley referred to it (without names!) in 'The Art of Captaincy' too.
Greg Blewett had a great cover drive.

@yennavai646 Hah, its funny, when this was on at the time i though tit was funny, and a few months ago I thought it would make a good upload, so I had to go through HOURS AND HOURS of this test to find the commentary I wanted!!!!! I wasn't even sure I still had it, could've been anywhere in the 5 days.

@robelinda2 : Do you tape every international game?? Or maybe every Test match? You must have a whole room in your house full of VHS tapes :D ..With tivo around now,it's so much easier..Storage is not so cumbersome & you can always fast forward to access what you want..It must be a right old pain in the backside to search recorded VHS tapes,convert & then upload..You are a very dedicated cricket lover..2 thumbs up for your effort..May there be another 1000 more videos :)

@yennavai646 Yes Ive tried to tape every match since i started taping, in 1981. I store everything these days on large hard drives, but still have over 20,000 dvd's and videos. TIVO and the stuff like that is ok, but it just doesn't store enough stuff for proper long term storage.
