Matt sat in the back seat with the Canon XSi camera capturing our back-to-front-and-back-again fading demo by moving the camera's built-in microphone forward and backward along with the fades. We're listening for sonic improvements (detail, tone quality, dimensionality) when we fade to the JL Audio components up front from the stock GM speakers in the back. Check it out and see if you can hear the difference.

  • Is there a huge difference from the placement of dynamat in the doors from it being bare metal?

  • @palmer307 I’m not sure I understand your question. Dynamat has an adhesive backing that is used to apply it to the surface of any location. While it can help reduce external noise is almost any location, the resonance dampening capability is best utilized on metal surfaces. • infinity kappa or the jl s

  • @jc2011NE That depends on what you'll be using for amplification. If it will be the factory or an aftermarket stereo I generally recommend the Kappas as they have a lower minimum power requirement (2 watts RMS) and a high efficiency. Feel free to call for additional assistance: 800.315.0030

  • no doubt jl audio has the best sound quality ..but one thing i wanna ask as my shopkeeper told that jl audio has best sound quality compared to kicker , mtx , rockford . but their entry level components have less mid bass than those. is it true?

  • @TheAkshay0021 Generalizations such as these are difficult to debunk or endorse. Your best bet is to compare specific models and their rated specifications to determine the best choice for your needs. You can also call for additional assistance: 800.315.0030--Crutchfield

  • no offense guys but the factory sounds better on a laptop,,,high grade laptop but an fyi might be doing yourself an injustice by posting this on here for a lot of people

  • @kbryon you can hear a huge difference the stock speakers have no detail to them and they just blend the sound without producing accuracy . the new speakers are quieter but that doesnt mean there not as good . i bet in real life there is a way bigger difference than on the video

  • Try focal speakers powered by either steg or mosconi amps.. I would buy them over rockford any day! Expecially since a mosconi as300.2 pushes out almost 2k watts and costs the same as a rockford t1500.1bdcp (here in the netherlands.. in the us it's different).

  • @crutchfieldtv I think he meant weather there would be a lot of difference with or without dynamatted doors compared to bare metal doors. Wich off course does help a lot!

  • Almost all of us are using stock speaker on our computers, and not to mention that the microphone on the camera is going to do it the speakers a foul injustice. There are too many variables the sound has to be translated through for us to accurately hear the difference.

  • @TheAkshay0021 get an amp if you dont already have one, give the speakers some good listening time for them to "break in" and your ears to get used to them, and have a pro tune your amp. If none of that works get something else, ive heard of people disliking infinity's sound, I have used polk, and just ordered some polk component systems and a sub for my truck. I love the other polk systems ive used.

  • good bass sound, very nice

  • @ChrisZTheMan Ok ..Man please help me out i bought my self Infinity refrence components .I hate them ,they don't sound good. Please suggest me a good brand .it should go loud and sounds great

  • I heard A CLEAR difference. Once you switched to the front, I could hear everything cleaner and more precise. ANd I actually heard a little bit of bass to once switched to the front.
