The Y stands for Yohji Yamamoto, the 3 represents Adidas's three signature stripes, and the "-" represents the link between the two. October 2002 saw the birth of the most influential cooperation in sport and fashion to date with the launch of the Spring/Summer 2003 Y-3 mens and womens collection. The collaboration bewtween renowned Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto and the authentic sports brand Adidas has revolutionized the industry, creating a new category in fashion.
