"Amazing Grace"- Savannah & Fall Creek Band

"AMAZING GRACE" performed by amazing Savannah Vaughn and The Fall Creek Band. This old, well-known hymn is performed to a different musical arrangement that produces a haunting, beautiful melody. The 15 year old singer/fiddler put in a Five-Star performance at the 2008 Harvest Bluegrass Festival on 23 October 2008 in Kingsport, Tennessee at the 70 year old Kingsport Civic Auditorium. This celebration of local bluegrass talent was produced and sponsored by Appalachian Community Federal Credit Union.

Perhaps the Odetta version of rising sun would be a better match. The lyrics are more biting ... search for Odetta House of Rising Sun

Savannah should do "mash-up" of amazing grace and house of the rising sun (the Joan Baez version). The songs could feed into each other perfectly, with the wretch of rising sun "saved" by amazing grace.

I'm not religious, but this is a very moving song and the combination could be heart breaking.

I'd love to see Savanna and Fall Creek do this ... fading one song into the other. Or perhaps somebody with more multimedia talent than I could mix the Joan and Savannah and post a video response.
