My favorite piece from JLP! Brings me to tears every time. In the last days of my grandfathers life during a long and difficult battle with cancer, I remember him telling me how beautiful the sunrise was the morning we visited. On the way home, this piece played and I remembered what he said, and how nice it will be for him when he's finally free from pain & at peace. From then on, this piece has captured (for me) the transition to heaven and peace for all. It's truly a magical piece of music!

The sounds that this man makes are so beautiful. Its really amazing how he can do that so consistently, and make it look so easy.

Jean Luc has long been my sanity in times of difficulty, and joy, since I was 16, I am now 48. His music is timeless!
Thank you for posting this!

Best composer of our times. I feel extremely privileged that I had had the chance to see him performing live in a few occasions.

i Hope you have this CD "Individual Choice" Its my favorite. So Powerful a vibration its not surprising that it captured your heart at the moment of your grandfather's passing into heaven. thanks for sharing your memory of him.
Recently been listening to all songs of JLP about 20 albums, and realized some musician os only famous for a region or a period, but Jean Luc ponty covers half a decade, and each period with different styles. No one tops his technique, composition and attitude. He is the all time virtuoso in this . I once had a violin signed by JLP at his concert in Indiana, but had to sell it for food, I regret that dearly.

Sorry this I converted from tape, but you can see the live concert, and some of his improvisation, and intro to his best band players, rare.
