Victory Motorcycles has started a program where they are providing Harley-Davidson Street Glide and Dyna Wide Glide Motorcycles to selected Victory Dealers to provide prospective buyers with a chance to do a side by side comparision. This is more than just being able to sit on a bike, this program allows the customer with an opportunity to ride each bike in order to make an educated decision as to which bike is best for his or her riding needs. This video was recorded at Volusia Motorsports in New Smyrna Beach, Florida on December 11, 2010. This is NOT a paid endorsement of either brand.

  • those days are long gone.

harley use to keep btheir value back in the day when you had to wait 2-3 years for the bike you ordered.

but now that harley has saturated the market that is nolonger true.

a friend of mine traded a 06 street glide for a 10 fatboy and they only gave him 6000.00 trade on the glide it had 10k miles and color was white!

    i saw a 06 vegas get 9500.00 trade twards a 11 x-country.

just go to harleys web site you can buy new dynas for under 12k!

    goodluck with ur decision.

  • to me the issue with other brands, when it comes to try to compete with harleys market, is the family that comes with owning a harley, along with the parts and accessories fro so many different suppliers worldwide, where as a competing manufacturer may only have a certain model for a couple years and scrap it to move on and try sumthing else which limits accessories and parts.

  • @victorymadeinusa1 no you cant

  • when it comes to vibration comparison victory always goes for the dyna's, hey victory harley makes another motor ya know, compare it to a softail. if you blow your eardrums out use ear plugs and then put ear muffs on, you wouldnt be able to tell if my standard is running or not.

  • Was I the only one that thought they would actually compare bikes?

  • Just my two cents here....

I'm a muscle cruiser fan. I love the visual and techical appeal of the Victory Hammer family of bikes, a couple Harley's come to mind as a favorite too, (V-Rod and Rocker). Not into baggers and loaded down motorcycles, but thats just me... I enjoy riding my Suzuki M90, and since they were made for the US market for 2009 only, its pretty exclusive and will always get looks and comments at gatherings or just going to the store or a restaurant.

  • the guy is not with victory yet he is from VOG.net OK.

  • ride what you like....i ride a harley custom to my taste.

  • well as a guy who has had the chance to ride both i think it really depends on the type of ride the bike gives you, if you are just trying to be cool then you will probably buy hog if you want to be different you may get a vic but if you are buying for ride you may get neither & end up on a metcruiser it really depends on how you like to ride i think, i owned a hog til marriage & own a star now just to have one to ride & its ok but as crazy as it sounds i just feel safe on the hog and the vic

  • Compare it to my Harley - nothing like my ride!

Guess I am part of a cult but ......

110 ci, 127 horses. 120 pounds of torque - people on those crotch rockets always take off but when they look in the mirror i'm right there. A ton of chrome and everywhere I go it gets noticed - my bike has a rumble and even all my friends know my Harley. You can hear it shaking the road! "Loud Pipes Save Lives"
