It's been twenty years since I watched Jem and the Holograms. I gotta say, it's been a trip down memory lane.

I wanted to do a music video of course and I chose the ONLY country song I liked. Joline by Dolly Parton.

In the video I made Jem and Jerrica two seperate women in love with the same man, Rio.

I never liked Rio, I still don't. He was anal, and flipped flopped between girls. Yeah, I know they are the same woman, but to him they are seperate women so there is no excuse there.

I made NO money creating this video, just the enjoyment of making it.

Really a very interesting and creative choice of perspective and song.

As a side note I thought it was humorous that at 1:50 the lyrics are "He's the only one for me Jolene" and the scene is of Rio kicking over a potted plant. Probably not a highlight of Rio's noble actions and not a scene that compliments the lyrics in my opinion. Jerrica's sorrowful expression (following Rio's departure) would work well with the lyrics "I could never love again" or "Please don't take my man", etc.

@resonanceth Thanks for the compliments. It was very hard finding the right clips for the lyrics. So likely I may have overlooked ones that fit better.

Just as a info bit. Despite there are so many clips of Jem singing in the first and second seasons, it was hard to find clips that match what I wanted. I had to shuffle through each episode to get what I needed.

@Aragem I thought Rio kicking over the plant at 1:50 was perfect for that line, highlighting the irony that this man's the only one for her yet he's not exactly worth having given how easily Rio divides his affections between two women, his lousy temper, and his all-around judgmental attitude.

i think if i was jerrica i would be pissed because rio doesnt kno shes jem and yet he keep kissing jem. thats proof that his a jerk and idk why shes feeling so darn bad about making him think his kissing two different girls. thats one thing i never understood about this show. :(. other than that the song if freaking awesome and this video

@Aragem Yes, I remember reading how difficult you found it to find appropriate clips; that's certainly understandable. Really, overall I feel that you did a good job, it could just use some tweaking. In other words, I appreciate the video as it is now, but at the same time I would enjoy seeing a revision of it if you are interested in doing so in the future.
