Introducing Bacardi Oakheart, a new spiced rum from Bacardi.

Drew Levinson, Director of Beverage Development at Wirtz Beverage Nevada, introduces six ways you can make a cocktail with the new Bacardi Oakheart!

Oak 'n' Coke
1.5 oz. Bacardi "Oakheart" Rum
4-5 oz. Coke
Build in an ice filled Highball Glass
Garnish with a squeeze of Lime (optional)

Oak and Ginger
1.5 oz. Bacardi "Oakheart" Rum
4-5 oz. Ginger ale or Ginger beer
3 Dashes Angostura Bitters
Build in an ice filled Highball Glass
Garnish with a squeeze of Lime

Bacardi Oakheart Mai Tai
2 oz. Bacardi "Oakheart" Rum
.75 oz. Bols Orange Curacao
.75 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
.75 oz. Orgeat "Almond" Syrup
Shake ingredients and strain into a crushed ice filled old fashioned glass
Garnish with a Mint Sprig and a Pineapple Spear

Spiced Bat
1.5 oz. Bacardi "Oakheart" Rum
.5 oz. Cherry Heering Liqueur
.5 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
.5 oz. Agave Nectar
1 oz. Pineapple Juice
3 Fresh Cherries (pitted)
Muddle Cherries, Lime and Agave nectar. Add ice and remaining ingredients
Shake and Double strain into a chilled cocktail glass Garnish with a fresh cherry

Smoke 'n' Oak
2 oz. Bacardi "Oakheart" Rum
1 oz. Carpano Antica Vermouth
3 Dashes Bitter Truth Mole Chocolate Bitters Build in shaker glass
Pour into wood smoke filled jar and swirl with lid on to combine flavors Pour back into ice filled shaker glass. Stir 30 times until chilled
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass
Garnish with a Brandied Cherry

Spiced Root Beer Float
1.5 oz. Bacardi "Oakheart" Rum
.75 oz. "Root" Liqueur from Art in the Age of
1 oz. Heavy Cream
.5 oz. Simple Syrup
3-4 oz. Premium Root Beer
Shake first 4 ingredients with ice. Strain into an ice filled Collins glass and top with Root Beer
Garnish with Cinnamon/Sugar and a Cherry (optional)

  • I switched from Capt Morgan Spiced to this Oakheart about 2 months ago now, will never go back, great buzz, very smooth, and cheaper! Wish i saw it at more bars!

  • Just bought some of this..Sailor Jerry used to be my top until they messed it up..Lambs Spiced is good as is Morgans

    wel run to the store, grab one out of the shelfs, open it while walking to the counter, take a quick sip, and buy it!

  • Rum is best enjoyed straight, I think. That being said, Oakheart's pretty good, I think.

  • Morgan spiced forever, oakheart never!
