Why does Simon go to Dracula's grave to mourn/pay his respects? It's kinda weird.

@lilletoon Simon is Cursed thats why he needs to gather dracsulas body parts and end his Curse if not Curse for everyone eles and him self thats why his skin is white only in this game

I always thought that due to the story of this one and the third one, their title should replaced :
Castlevania II Dracula's Curse and Castlevania III Trevor's Quest
-
I prefer the first Castevania, as in this one, the bosses were waaaaaaaay to easy, the ones in Castlevania 1 were challenging and fun

@LondonGuysVids LOL zelda refrence

Honestly I really hate it when you get the lesser endings instead of the best ones in video games. I get that they want to inspire you to play longer/replay it, but really the best way to do that is by showing you an ending worth coming back for. The average one in particular ticks you off because it's basically saying that despite all your hard work you ultimately failed even after winning. It's a decent enough game overall, but that ending thing for games in general really bugs me.

@RedQueeney Probably some sort of mutual respect for Dracula as an opponent.
-
Blah blah blah dracula's dead- oh shit he's back! Sequel time!
-
Am I the only one who noticed he lived for 45 years?
-
i have this game for my nes

@RedQueeney He was a worthy opponent. It's only normal.
i have always wondered... Why does simon go around gather draculas body parts together and fight him again? doesn't dracula have right to death?

Heh, that would've been a better story. "In Transylvania, Simon Belmont has defeated Dracula. As if that was not enough, Simon decided to be a complete prick and rebuild Dracula just to kill him again!" I think the story was that in the battle preceding this game, Dracula put a curse on Simon that would prove fatal if Simon did not defeat Dracula again. Dracula's minions had scattered his remains all around Transylvania because of this. Something like that is what I vaguely recall reading.

Although the prologue in the title screen just says that Simon is set out to destroy Dracula's curse.

I always thought it was funny how when you get to the final battle with Dracula, the game takes away your garlic but lets you keep your laurels. :P

I guess Dracula didn't care if Simon had four Laurels which grant him INVINCIBILITY! You'd assume he'd try to rid Simon from those as well.

I never used this strategy on Dracula! Was that the laurel? Wow you're a f'ing genious! lol I LOLd at the AVGN when he said this game was hard; I beat it when I was 6 years old =P

Yeah, it was a Laurel, I tried it out because I was wondering if the invincibility would stand against Dracula, which it apparently did. Yeah, the game isn't that hard, besides for two or three obscure puzzles that would take a pretty wild guess, since the townspeople really didn't tell anything too clearly.
