Class 87 with Olivia's Trains DCC sound. The video with my poor cheap video camera does not do the DCC sound justice, as it sounds much better in real. but hopefully, this will give an idea.

Put it this way, I will be buying more!

  • Are you selling this, just saw it on ebay, on the same layout.

  • @itgamer100 to be honest I can't remember if this is the Hornby or Lima 87. The one im selling on Ebay is the Hornby one but it won't be with the sound chip cheers

  • Superb thanks for posting! I've now purchased 2 class 87's and 2 class 86's all i need now is the sound! :)

  • lol, I hope you have deep pockets, the sound chips are around £100 each. Seriously though, once converted to the dark side of sound, there is no going back! Id rather have 2 sound locos than 10 non-sound locos.

  • Woweeee my friend has 87006 in Virgin livery with sound they are wonderful arent they roll on Hornbys 87 coming out I'll buy one and have that sound fitted 5* 87006.

  • Yea, I think they will sell like hotcakes. I know plenty of people who need 5 minumum, hopefully can remotor a lot of the older stock too. Res 86, NSE, Sector 86's etc

  • hi there its looking good the station scenery is looking great too keep the vids coming im having a rest from the layout hope to finish my scenboards and station upgrades in the coming year cheers

  • what class 87 is this

  • i am looking at buying one of these. apparently you can also add lighting and the noise of the mk3 coaches! amazing what you can get these days .....pricey at around 150 with the loco but worth the money than a 50 loco that just goes back and forth with no lights or sound etc...

  • I might invest in an electric. It still sounds good even with the rubbish sound quality.
