"This movement is to help men realize the overwhelming numbers of women being abused." Considering that men are equally likely to be in abusive relationships and are much more likely to be victims of violence in general, I find movements like this as offensive as a bunch of black people praying they won't hurt whites while lynchings are happening.

It's not about anger. It's about equality. When people start caring about men too, then maybe we'll be a worthy species.

"…there are facts and stats to back that the 1 billion women abused sexually and physically are by a man's hand" -Please link the stats and "facts" to support this claim. As far as I know UNIFEM cite no source for the statistic. Their "Facts & Figures on VAW" page site cherry picked unreferenced claims. Either way violence isn't a gender issue and therefore can't be solved from that perspective so there is no excuse for this veiled misandric propaganda.

I guess their argument is that when they make men more like women then women won't have to hate us so much.

Men don't need man prayers. We need real services and funding to combat the massive and real problems that face boys and men. Problems like high suicide rates, like ever declining educational outcomes, like the higher proportion of men who are homeless, like the many men who are raped and abused - sometimes by women, like the lack of funding for prostate cancer. I wish there was a woman prayer that was "Please make me less selfish and think of boys and men sometimes."
