Starting to seriously think about what fish to go for.
Wanting a peaceful community tank.
Specs :
Neutral pH.
Low to medium hardness.
Temp is adjustable, but on 25dC at the mo.
I capped the dirt with a thick layer of gravel to allow for bottom dwellers.

Seriously thinking of:
7 Serpae Tetras
7 Black Widows
1 Bristlenose
7 Kuhli Loaches
Possibly if I upgrade to a better filter I could possibly manage a shoal of Panda Corys.

Wanting suggestions on what you would keep in a tank like this.
It's a tall tank, so I'd like some ideas on surface dwelling fish mostly, like dwarf gouramis, hatchet fish, etc.

  • dwarf cichlids!!! should go really well with tetras!! Maybe angels, rams, apistogrammas,or..... a red tail shark would be awesome with some leopard corys on the bottom, and definitely a bristlenose... but yeah awesome videos and i'm looking foward to seeing the final product!!! :)

  • @MiscelaneousMadness Thanks for the suggestions. I reckon I will get a couple of rams down the track at some stage. Looking into Dwarf Chain loaches. If I can get them brought in. :)

  • How about some molly's? Those have babies all the time. You may even be able to find a pregnant female :) Sword Tails are awesome too and easy to keep.

  • @newyorksteelo I reckon I will get a new tank for live-bearers. Go down that road sometime in the future, Cheers :)

  • should be fine just try to avoid fish with long flowing fins :)

  • @JoshsMbuna Yep, and they seem to do better with fish the same size or larger. Or so I have read.
