  • i have always wondered how to throw like a 2 seam or sinker on an inside corner of a lefty batter? plz answer my question and tell me how to throw one of those ultimate 2 seam or sinker pitches.

  • I agree with most all of your theory, thanks for helping to teach the game. I did, however, see Rick Sutcliffe demonstrate the Maddux grip while calling a televised game. Rick says that Greg's movement comes alot from his 4-seam fastball grip, then using his thumbnail as a rudder along the bottom. Claims that Maddux told him he could count the seam stitch by stitch, left or right, with his thumbnail, all while the ball is still in his glove. This is why his arm motion always looks the same.
