  • I don't care if it's a real organ or not, the music itself is what realy matters, right?

  • He is really good, I wonder How he would sound if he played the roland Atelier 90SL organ.

  • O japa é fera!!!

  • The concept of the King of Instruments was never static or exclusivist, but rather experimental and evolutionary. The history of what we call the Pipe Organ includes all its phases, even those which eliminated traditional pipes altogether. Scientific advances have now brought us from the early and unwieldy to the present effort to achieve the original goal of 'instrumental entirety'. Rogers, Roland, Allen, Wersi and now the amazing Yamaha GX played by Tomita, Qui Zhong and others. Hurrah!

  • @Matchless48 While I do agree that digital is no substitute for real pipes, digital organs do have there place. I.e. Small Churches that don't have the space or budget for a real organ, as practice instruments in schools and homes, digital voices augmenting an existing organ, bringing orchestra/organ literature to symphonies that play in spaces lacking an organ, etc. As for digital sounds, take listen to a Hawptwerk setup. A good one come as close to the real thing as digital can get.

  • Holy ****balls! This guy's amazing!!!

  • I don't argue about taste, but if you like organ music one should listen to a real organ. Pipes and air!.

Maybe it's great for people who can't appreciate the sound of a tube amplifier and prefer to listen to the sound of chips.

  • @kkissinger

Try the AT-900. You can select stops on that one.

  • Ironic you talk about things being useless and you're a christian.

  • No doubt he would sound great on a real pipe organ.

  • My response to your ad hominum attack is that you don't know me and are in no position to pass judgement.

I stand by my assessment of the Atelier keyboard.

  • kkissinger, You're 52 and still playing weddings? And you want us to believe your "professional" opinion? Roland don't claim their instruments are replacements for pipe organs, nor do they claim they're replacements for a real piano, nor do they claim that they're a replacement for a real sax or trumpet or vibes or rhodes etc etc but if you think they're for "amateurs" check out about a million Korean kids playing organ that would blow you away. Or maybe you're safer with the "Wedding March".
