In this video I look at the comments I got since I last replied to people in written form on YouTube. I hope this is a useful way of answering questions and getting back to everyone who kindly wrote in with a question for me. Do let me know if you like this way of interaction and visit me on SpeakingFluently.com and like my Facebook page SpeakingFluently.

Uploader Comments (Torbyrne)

  • I hope it isn't too ironic posting a comment question to this video, but I was wondering where you got your username Torbyrne from? It sounds quite unique, and I can't even place what language it is.

  • @qzchris You know, torbyrne is a name I made up as a kid. I am not sure how I came up with it tbh, but soon after I came across the mineral torbernite and it stuck because I liked minerals a lot at that point. :)

  • That's an excellent way of responding to comments and questions. I really enjoyed this video.

  • This was a neat way to respond.

  • @xalesd2 I'm learning Hindi and I find it hard to distinguish the dental and non-dentals (forgot the word for that) when listening but not when speaking. The aspiration is no problem though.

  • Excellent! Well I would like to tell you something in the languages I know (at least a little): você fala legal!

  • pronunciation-wise it's really a lot harder than Dutch to master. Can you imagine four ways of saying "t" and "d"?

Of course I'm not a native in Dutch, but who cares :P Take care man, you rule. I'd love to hear you speak Hindi one day, (look up for the next part)
