Veteran entertainer, author and now Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate from Minnesota, Al Franken spoke at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers' Construction and Maintenance Conference.

While in Washington D.C., in April he discussed the role of the labor movement in rebuilding the middle class, the health care crisis, the importance of investing in green jobs and the legacy of the legendary Sen. Paul Wellstone.

The IBEW is an international labor organization that represents approximately 725,000 workers in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Republic of Panama. The IBEW has members in construction, utilities, manufacturing, telecommunications, broadcasting, railroads and government.
