.hack//The World (On craptastic keyboard!)

*EDIT: Many have asked me for sheet music for this piece. The deal is, I had to learn the song completely by ear, and thus I have no sheet music to share. However, I am thinking of doing a "How to" video for the song in the future.

So I have this 15 year old keyboard that sits in my room which I play every once in awhile. It's very dusty as you can imagine.

Anyway, out of purely spontaneous fun, I decided that one day, I was going to learn how to play a really amazing song from the .hack// anime series. Even more random, I decided that at 5:50 AM I was going to record it. I bet I sound sleepy.

Anyway, I don't know how to play the piano at all and I've been teaching myself for a total of 3 moths now on this dusty old keyboard of mine. I made lots of mistakes, and you can hear ALL of them. Please ignore the clacking of my fingernails on the keys. I think I'll cut them soon.

Beautiful voice, beautiful piano playing. I adored this performance. I'm trying to learn this song by ear as well, but it's hard for me to get my hands to play separately from one another. (Sorry if that doesn't make any sense). =( But yeah... I LOVED it. <3 !!!!! *Favs.*

Yes, I had a lot of trouble with this at first too. I like to think of my left hand as a time keeper, and the right as the melody. Now, this isn't true of all songs, but it certainly helped with this one. Good luck in learning the song, and let me know if you need help with any of the notes.

holy shit! i've had to teach myself, and i'm no-where near as good as that on the piano! and i've been trying for like, 5 years (not that hard). i think it's because my left hand is lazy and retarded

The left hand part for this song is very simple, so it wasn't all that difficult. I can play much more complicated things if I have the music. Also, I play other instruments so reading music wasn't a problem. Clarinet is my main instrument and it has made learning piano loads easier.

I've watched the animes, all of which I found incredibly entertaining.

I've looked into the games, but I haven't the money to buy them at the moment. I want a car instead.

As for the sheet music, I don't have it because I had to transpose this completely by ear. I have yet to find any actual piano sheet music.

ohh nice done. If you had a better keyboard it'd be very nice, cause with this one, you listen the noise of the plastic keys with every note you play.

Some parts are played a bit fast but I have seen your last video and you have improved amazingly =)
