Here is a quick video of how to take ownership of files or folders in XP. This is very useful if you reinstalled windows on a different hard drive and need to use the files on the old hard drive. I decided that you all have your own music anyway, so didn't put in any music. Enjoy!

  • my computer does not show security and it is a administrator it only show general sharing customize checksums

    "Go to control panel. Under Tools, select Folder Options. Go to View. Under Advanced Settings, scroll to the bottom and uncheck Use Simple File Sharing. You should be able to see the security tab now. "

  • you have to go into tools\options\view section from the menu bar from any open folder. "Use simple file sharing" uncheck this box. and the security option will be enable
