This is definitely an 88 BMX mix. Farley used to spin live every Sat nite, just before the change to V103. They used to do it commercial free. I used to have one of those mixes that "mysteriously" disappeared. And to Callin2Jack, if you listen to this video, you will hear Farley SAY BMX

This is a mix from the 80's. I remember this mix.

@Callin2Jack like i said...im not trying to call you out....Farley must have had quite a setup by this time. This also may be another "Analog is better than Digital" thing....im a vinyl junkie...vinyl sounds so full and seeing how this was a dub i might be getting that "lo-fi" vibe. Im glad you uploaded this...i need to dig out my 12 ,90 minute tapes from 86 from BMX when Hitman and Farley and Fast Eddie were on fire

i mean im not fucking with you but this is too lush to be even 90'ish...way too lush. the technology didnt allow for all these voices and sounds in 1988 live on the air...you have to record this on a 36 track first...then play it. Nobody could afford to waste 36 track tape back then for something like this...thatd be a 10,000 dollar tape per show.(2500 an hour for 36 track tape back in 1988)
this is a WGCI mix from the 90's .no system could sample like this in 1988...i dont care if you even had 2 Roland D-50's,drum machine and dual tables. Compare it to any of his real 80's tapes...this is light years beyond anyone in the 80's....even beyond Hitman Wilson. You can hear its a digital mix...like off Sonic Acid Foundry on a PC...like The Prodigy did fro 1995 on...nobody was this out there in the 80's no way

@netrioter sorry to break it to you, but it is from a tape. i may have the year wrong, but it was definitely late 80s. if it sounds too digital, it could be from the conversion. if you listen closely, you can hear Farley adjusting the pitch from track to track. DJs back then used reel to reel as well as the instruments you mention. so some of it might have been prerecorded and mixed in during the live performance. Farley, among others, was notorious for that. i'm thinking of Ron Hardy here.
