@jimprice09 If you could incorporate thermal mass insulation it should work fine, given that you vent it properly.

digging a dakota hole works too.

Looked a nice piece of kit, but I of the understanding that a skirt was necessary to conduction some of the convection currents up the sides of the pot. It was this increased flow around the pot which contributed to the devices efficiency!!

what do you use as insulation.

Do you think , this stove, can heat a mini house of 8x20 feet?
After, you have start your fire, can you use ,freshly, cut wood(more wet wood) ?

It is design for cooking and not really for heating. I would not recommend using it inside a house unless you use a way to pipe the smoke out. I do sell a Indoor / Outdoor Rocket Stove which can be found on eBay that has a plate that fits on top and has a 4" output for 4" chimney piping. It is best to use dry materials only with these rocket stoves. Wet wood would either not burn or really smoke a lot if it did.

Once the stove is cooled from using, you just lift it up by the handle and dump the ashes out. You would want to make sure the ashes are cold.
