Sonic the Fighters - Metal Sonic Playthrough

Well, how should I start? Sonic the Fighters was one of my childhood favorites in the arcades. Every time me, my mom and pops and sister visit Pizza Hut, this game will always be sitting alone and I kept begging my mom and dad for quarters. It has a special place in my heart.

Now, about this playthrough. Metal Sonic can't be unlocked in the game from the Sonic Gems Collection port by any normal means. In order to play as him, you have to use an Action Replay, get the codes online and activate them. Please do not ask me for codes. It was a pain for me to get them four years ago and I just don't have time to rewrite it on a paper and give it away. Also, Metal Sonic IS eligible to rank in on the time attack rankings in the game and only has one glitch which his body disappear while you enter your initials on the rankings so Sega SHOULD HAVE made him an unlockable character in VS mode at least.

Well, let's take a look at the character: Metal Sonic is a cheap overpowered character. He will make your life a miserable hell. Almost all of his attacks have barrier break properties but the worst part is that Metal Sonic destroy barriers faster than any other character in the game. Metal Sonic's attack is insane. He deals more damage than Bark the Polar Bear. He's even more dangerous when his health is low, all thanks to the game's retarded handicap. I will now list the special attacks I've found so far with Metal Sonic with their own descriptions, just in case someone want to play as him, PROVIDED he/she has an Action Replay. This list will only be on the GCN version so PS2 users from the PAL territories, find a more reliable FAQ.

Metal Sonic's Moves:

1)Rocket Rush Attack: Tap forward twice + R Button (Metal Sonic will rocket and spiral towards you with his claws forward. Can break up to 3-4 barriers at once.)

2)Claw Uppercut: Tap down + forward + A Button (Metal Sonic will swipe his claws upward, sending his opponents into the air. Press A again for a second swipe. Every uppercut destroys a barrier. If you know how to uppercut with Bark and Sonic, you shouldn't have trouble doing the same with this guy because the button combination is the same.)

3)Claw Swipe: Tap backwards twice + A Button (Metal Sonic will get into a stance with one of his claws out then he will quickly strike his opponent with a critical hit. In my opinion, this is the most ghastly move that Metal Sonic has in his arsenal. It doesn't break barriers like his other attacks but this attack goes through barriers and hits YOU directly so it's unblockable! You can dodge it but time your sidestep carefully. This attack is also a part of his only combo by pressing the A Button three times. This move takes a huge chunk of health away from you. However, there's a small delay in his stance, leaving him open for a quick attack.

4)Laser Attack: Tap forward twice + A Button (Metal Sonic will shoot a short yet powerful laser beam from his chest. Just like the previous move, it goes through barriers and hits you directly. It just as damaging as the previous move but it's more easier to avoid this one.
