This is my entry for the semi-finalists round of the SoYouThinkYouCanVid competition. I was placed in group four and assigned to make a video on this song. I had some fandoms in mind but my sister Rania suggested me this movie and BAM! It made total sense! This movie just fits the song perfectly!! The lyrics seem to be written for it haha! For those who saw the movie, you will notice it!! For those who never saw it... well first of all, what are you waiting for?! lol! Seriously, you have to see it! It's such a beautiful film! But I think you can pretty much understand the video anyway. It's just better if you saw the movie because well, you will be spoiled haha! Just so you know, the movie is based on the life of author Jane Austen, who wrote many novels such as Emma, Pride & Prejudice and Sense & Sensibility.

As for the editing of the video, I chose to keep it really simple. Personally, I think this song doesn't need a lot of effects because even though there are a lot of beats when the first chorus begin, this song just feels calm and relaxing. It's a liberating song so, from my point of view, less is more for this kind of song. I'm really satisfied of my coloring as well because the one from the movie is pretty bland haha!

I was really happy to get this song! It's a really amazing song even though it's a hard one to edit. It's a challenge, just like the other songs assigned to the 4 other groups. I think they all have their level of difficulty and that every vidder was placed in the right group, depending on their vidding style. I would have been happy with any of the songs because they are all great to edit. Since this is suppose to challenge ourselves as vidders, I thought it would be even more challenging to vid a fandom I have never done before instead of, for example, One Tree Hill. I think it's what makes me even more happy about this video!

You know, this is one of my favorite Jane Austen adaptations along with Persuasion, Pride and Prejudice, and Sense and Sensibility! Some other good ones are Tess of the D'urbervilles and the forsyte sage -heart flutters- This video was stunning, the song was perfect (one of my faves from frou frou) also you added the scenes perfectly and the timing was impeccable.
