The landscaped estate, gardens and buildings at Downhill near Castlerock reflect the vivid personality of their creator - the flamboyant Earl Bishop, Fredrick Hervey.
We at the National Trust have being working har on the estate recently!
The gardens have undergone restoration over the past two years and now look better than ever. The Bog Garden has been fully restored. Best seen March - June for all the spring flowers including the whole woodlands fully of bluebells and the spring meadows :) For more images info etc see our facebook page - search for "Downhill National Trust"
