NOTE: The fate of Kendra Daniels lies in this video as well. The final boss known as the Hive Mind shows up, eliminates her, all cocky and shit thinking it can do the same to you. Welcome to one of the most intense fight sequences in third-person gaming. Stock up on Pulse Rifle ammo, because you'll need it all. First off, you'll have to destroy the 5 yellow eyes. After you destroy three of them, the Hive Mind's tentacle will drag you up, and you'll have to aim for the remaining two. My advice is to weaken all the eyes before destroying the three. So that way, you'll have an easier time finishing off the last two.

After the eyes are destroyed, the Hive Mind will open up its body and reveal 5 yellow egg pods. Use Pulse Rifle here. If you don't destroy one of these before the body closes back up, you'll have to fight extra Necromorphs, usually Pregnant ones. That's what those red tubes are for. Don't bother using the tubes against the boss. You'll guarantee a miss.

The rest is pretty straightforward. All the attacks the Hive Mind has are telegraphed, so they'll be easy to dodge. Once you destroy all 5 egg pods, you'll witness the ending.

Just strange how precisely Hive Mind hit Kendra and after trying to kill you like a moron. It could just grab you and after smash with tentacle or smear against the wall. It didn't need to eat you... or it was really hungry? xD
