The words for "Prince of peace" first ap­peared in the Church of Eng­land Mag­a­zine, March 3, 1858 and are var­i­ous­ly at­trib­ut­ed to Mary Ann Ser­rett Bar­ber (1801-1884) or Mary S. B. Shind­ler (1810-1883). The tune came to me quickly as I picked those same 'ole chords...

150 year old words, but they show that nothing has changed.
