  • Bam! She is spared! Check this out...SPC Hutchinson listed her mother as a long-term caregiver (family care plan) & in October she used a two-week leave to take her son to Oakland. But her mother decided she was in over her head. “I was working a full day and then staying up all night with Kamani,” she said. Ms. Hughes said that she called SPC Hutchinson’s company commander to explain the problem and that he said the SPC could delay deployment for 30 days to find alternative care.

  • @misstijera SMH! MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL. THIS MANS ARMY IS GOING DOWN THE TUBE.

  • This is a prime example of piss poor planning leading to piss poor performance.Neglecting duties. I have several male friends in the military that are single parents and if they did what she did they would be court marshalled without question. Their is something else overlooked here as well. Why didnt her unit take care of the issue at hand. her ncos should have caught this problem long before it came to this.

  • I have one question Brother.....Where is the Daddy?

Time for his ass to MAN UP!!!!!

  • @misstijera I read the whole story! I still feel that she needs to be picked up & dropped in Afghanistan, child or no child. She missed it, she pays the price! She would never get an honorable discharge. She should at least get a undesirable discharge if not dishonorable. Let her try to get work with a dishonorable discharge!

She will be cleaning garbage dumpsters until the day she & her child dies!

Good riddance to another slacking looser!

  • @misstijera I got my facts straight! I still feel that she needs to be picked up & dropped in Afghanistan, child or no child. She missed it, she pays the price! • @misstijera

i completely understand what you are saying no caring parent would leave their child.but you must understand that when you join a military service you must be completely committed.she should have been more prepared for the birth of her child.if she was unable to bear the burden she should have filed for a hardship discharge.

  • @misstijera This is very true. If you have a child, that child should come first, so that's why if you are a single parent, the military would be a very tough place. You must have a very intact family care plan if in the event you were to be deployed. My biggest problem with a single parent being in the military would be the idea that the parent were to be killed during a tour, then who would take care of that child and how would that child deal with the loss of his/her parent.

  • @northrncal Well did she have bills and stuff? You gotta do what you gotta do. I know you are the Dad and all and I'm not knocking you at all. Maybe it was some bitterness on her part, but I checked out this story and when the family care plan fell through with her mom she did go back to her chain of command and notify them. They told her child services straight out. And when the news asked her chain of command about it they had no comment. I believe they said some crazy sh*t like that to her.

  • @lapmedong Yup yup! Govermnent Issue (GI) You belong to them. Your not a person, just a number, a mass murder machine!

  • @Cockroach2008 Read the whole story. She did have a family care plan. It fell through. Chain of command told her child services for the kid and then she missed the plan. The news asked her chain of command did they tell her to put her kid in child services because her plan fell through and they had NO COMMENT! I really believed this happened, I was in a situation like this but I had an injury. I got cussed out bad! I didn't ask to be in a car accident. If I was her I would of missed too!

  • @Cockroach2008 So wrong man! Read the whole story. She did have a family care plan. It fell through. Chain of command told her child services for the kid and then she missed the plan. Get your facts straight before you say dumb sh*t on the internet!
