we flew our plane at the beach one night and a police helicopter came over and started chasing us. the cops came and said that we were probably flying in restricted airspace according to the FAA. We got an email from the police sergeant who was in the helicopter and he said he thought we were another helicopter at first because he could see our nav lights that we had on from far away. He also said that we just need to call them next time before we fly so they know that we are there. hope you enjoy the video.

  • I probably would have been arrested and released if I had done something like that... lol

  • Go to eBay and buy an aviation (hand held) radio...next time tell the police helicopter...Radio Controlled Plane is flying over _____ Beach at or below 500ft...I have visual on the PD Ship (police helicopter) no factor. Wait for his reply and tell him good day. Oh yeah the frequency is 123.025 AM. I think he would like that...Ok ok I'm kidding guys have fun...

  • @truthseekers666 Considering how much airspace is out there and the class he is probably in, and the size of this aircraft, such an accident is so rare that you would get struck by lightening twice before a serious accident like you're talking about happens.

  • @truthseekers666 It depends on the class of airspace he is in. FAA regulations point out that planes like these are classified as ultralights as well and do not require an airworthy certificate or medical examinations. As far as flying at night I'm not sure. However, at night most airspace turns into class G which has even less flight regulations.

  • @truthseekers666 Fklying in restricted airspace usually requires a radio and that you be in contact with ATC for real world pilots. Consider taking up some flying lessons and learn why this is important.

  • @truthseekers666 Id hate to be the first model aircraft pilot whos toy ends up going through a jet turbine and killing hundreds of people!

  • @truthseekers666 You can apply for permission to do what your doing but doing this near houses and populated areas may not be allowed. If you were given permission then thsi could be NOTAMed to let pilot know what your up to in that area. Stops concerns from pilots, public and as you have now found out THE POLICE. Yes asking permission and getting notam for UAV work is essential. You cant see aircraft and react properly with this system. Also you wont show up on radar.

  • This types of thing upsets me as a pilot who knows air law your breaking quite a few by doing this and then posting on youtube. Firstly when you see other aircraft you have an obligation to land immediately. Flying at night is a no no. Lastly to fly away from base to a point where you cant see the model anymore would require your aircraft be registered and you to be a pilot. You cause an accident and see what happens to you. Just saying. Restricted airspace and airlaw - quite a few laws.

  • @GeneticallySuperior1 At least they had nav lights

  • Music Rocks Go Back To YOur 0's & 1's Nerds, Love it how you guys act all casual until the night sun is on your group lmao, yer where just chilling officer !
