@soccercat1 Which cabin? Some are on private land and others are on public. Either way WE own it. There is a common misconception that the government owns our public land. Actually, everything the government "owns" is held in trust for the benefit of the people. Granted, they are hocking and locking everything we own. The people paid for, built and own everything so depending on your circumstances, you will have to decide what you can and cannot build.

@waveman0 America may not be far behind you with needing "permission". What is or isn't "allowed" has nothing to do with right or wrong, it's about control. The real tell is, will Americans surrender their Right to bear arms like the Aussies did or resist being totally enslaved. If/when the economy melts down to nothing, I will not be standing in a soup line or asking anyone for permission to exist and continue living (without harming anyone else). It's really about choosing ones own destiny!

@cuntbaggins Sorry, I don't know. As you said, acquiring land in Europe is quite complicated. The type of ruler-ship is varied throughout and it often matters whether you are a native or foreign buyer. If immigrating, not only do you need to know land ownership laws but also citizenship, visas, customs and duties for importing personal property as well as restrictions on moving money. The hardest part about researching this subject is finding reliable information.

@Megaduck72 There isn't room here to convey the information perfectly. But, I would research the title before buying land, not use a licensed agent, not register the land and not involve a bank in the purchase. It should also be noted that the current system does not respect you rights, even if you know them. By not using the system, you will not become entangled in it. The ONLY WAY I have been successful is to not fear risking everything and never give up.
